Flood Watch issued April 27 at 2:04PM CDT until April 28 at 10:00AM CDT by NWS Lincoln IL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of the Illinois River Valley, including the following counties: Fulton, Knox, Marshall, Mason, Peoria, Schuyler, Stark, Tazewell and Woodford. * WHEN...From 7 PM CDT this evening through Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Several rounds of thunderstorms will bring heavy rainfall in a short amount of time. Illinois River near Havana affecting Mason, Cass and Fulton Counties. .The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation, soil moisture conditions, and forecast precipitation. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Illinois River near Havana. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Minor flooding begins to agricultural areas not protected by levees. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 14.3 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 AM CDT Saturday was 14.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.3 feet this afternoon. It will then rise to 14.7 feet early Wednesday morning.
