Additional snow accumulations between 2 and 5 inches at lower elevations and 6 to 18 inches in the mountains. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph. * WHERE...The Continental Divide along the Rocky Mountain Front. * WHEN...Until midnight MDT Wednesday Night. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult, and tire chains may be required for some vehicles. Those in the backcountry should ensure they have appropriate knowledge and gear and may want to consider alternate plans. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The combination of heavy wet snow and strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
